Adilo pricing

Adilo keeps pricing to a free plan and one paid Unlimited plan, priced by storage. Here is what each includes, what the add-ons cost, why the Unlimited number is not published, and the lifetime-deal history to know before you pay.

By Marcus Vale, Lead reviewer. Reviewed by the VSLBench editorial desk. Prices read on Adilo's own pricing page on 27 September 2026, and rechecked every 90 days.

Adilo's pricing is unusually simple to describe and unusually hard to quote. There are two plans: a genuine free plan, and one paid Unlimited plan. Streaming, plays and bandwidth are unlimited on both, which is the whole pitch, so the only thing that changes between them is storage. You pick how much storage you want, and Adilo prices the Unlimited plan off that.

The catch is that the public pricing page does not show the Unlimited number. It appears in-app at checkout once you choose a storage size. So this page lays out the plans, the two paid add-ons, and the one piece of history that should shape how you pay: the lifetime-deal cancellation.

The plans

Read on Adilo's own pricing page on 27 September 2026. Both plans carry unlimited streaming; the difference is storage, and DRM and simulated livestreaming are add-ons on top.

Plan Price What it includes
Free $0 Unlimited streaming, no card, and access to all features (player, CTAs, pixels, A/B tests, analytics), on limited storage
Unlimited By storage, in-app Everything in Free with more storage; the monthly figure is shown at checkout once you choose a storage size, not on the public pricing page
Video security Add-on Multi-DRM encryption, dynamic watermarking, IP licensing, geoblocking, expiring links and viewer authentication
Simulated livestream Add-on Evergreen simulated livestreams and multi-destination broadcasts to Twitch, Facebook, YouTube and other RTMP sources

For a custom plan with more user seats or bandwidth, Adilo directs you to sales. Because the Unlimited figure is set in-app by storage, the only reliable way to see your real monthly cost is to create the free account and read it there.

What the price actually depends on: storage

Most video hosts meter the thing that scales with traffic: bandwidth, or delivery. Adilo does the opposite. Plays, views and bandwidth are unlimited even on the free plan, so a video that suddenly gets traffic does not run up an overage bill the way it would on a per-GB host like Bunny, Vimeo or SproutVideo. What you pay for is storage, the size of your library.

That makes Adilo cheap to run for a big audience watching a small library, and it is the genuine reason marketers pick it. It also means the number that decides your bill is how many hours of video you keep online, not how many people watch. Reviewers note that stepping up to larger storage tiers adds up, so estimate the total size of the videos you will host, not your traffic, and choose the storage that fits.

Before you pay: the lifetime-deal history

The single most important thing to know before you hand Adilo money is not on its pricing page. Adilo sold thousands of lifetime deals through AppSumo, and it later told those customers it could no longer honour them, restricting older lifetime accounts and pushing them onto paid subscriptions. Trustpilot and AppSumo carry angry threads about it, and there are separate reports of buyers being charged after they cancelled.

The software is well-liked, so this is not a reason to write Adilo off. It is a reason to pay for it carefully. Avoid lifetime deals and heavily discounted annual prepayments, default to monthly billing so you are never out more than a month if something changes, cancel in writing, and keep the confirmation. Paid the right way, a well-reviewed host with a real free plan is a low-risk trial. Paid up front for permanence, it is the exact bet that went wrong for the AppSumo buyers.

What you are trading off

What works

  • Unlimited streaming and bandwidth on every plan, including the free one, so a video that suddenly gets traffic does not trigger the per-GB overage bill that meters a Bunny, Vimeo or SproutVideo. You pay for storage, not views
  • Genuinely well-liked by day-to-day users: roughly 4.8 out of 5 on Capterra across hundreds of reviews and 4.6 across 720 on G2, with an easy on-brand player, simple course embedding and fast live-chat support the repeated praise
  • Marketing hooks most cheap hosts skip, in one dashboard: in-video CTAs and buy buttons, lead capture, Facebook and Google retargeting pixels, A/B video split testing, chapters, and AI subtitles with translation into 31 languages
  • It can replace several tools at once: a built-in screen and camera recorder, branded video channels for your library, heatmap analytics, and one-click import from Vimeo, Wistia and Dropbox
  • Real content protection is available for course sellers worried about piracy: multi-DRM encryption and dynamic per-viewer watermarking, plus password, domain and region locking (sold as a paid add-on)

What to watch

  • The dominant complaint is trust, not playback: Adilo sold thousands of AppSumo lifetime deals it later said it could not honour, restricting those accounts and pushing them onto paid subscriptions, and Trustpilot carries reports of charges after cancellation. Buy month to month, cancel in writing, and keep the confirmation
  • It does not score a split test on the sale or attribute revenue: its A/B testing and heatmaps measure views and engagement, not which traffic actually bought, so a paid-traffic VSL still cannot prove ROI from inside Adilo
  • The paid Unlimited plan's price is not published: the pricing page shows a free plan and one paid plan priced by how much storage you pick, with the figure only shown in-app at checkout, so you cannot compare it cleanly before you sign up
  • DRM and simulated livestreaming are optional paid add-ons on top of the plan, not included, so the real cost for a course seller who needs encryption is higher than the base sticker
  • It is a marketing-shaped host, not a dedicated VSL player: there is no sound-first smart autoplay or sales-scored optimisation built for direct response, so a serious paid-traffic funnel will still reach for a purpose-built player

Pricing FAQ

How much does Adilo cost?
There is a free plan with unlimited streaming and access to all features, no credit card. Above it sits a single paid Unlimited plan whose price scales with how much storage you choose, and the monthly figure is shown in-app at checkout rather than on the public pricing page (checked 27 September 2026). Two capabilities are paid add-ons on top of the plan: the Unified Video Security stack (multi-DRM and watermarking) and simulated livestreaming.
Does Adilo have a free plan?
Yes, and it is a real one. The free plan carries unlimited plays, views and bandwidth, access to all core features and no credit card. What is limited on it is storage. Because it is free forever rather than a timed trial, it is the sensible way to see Adilo's real in-app price for the storage you need before you pay anything.
Why is the Unlimited price not published?
Adilo prices the Unlimited plan by storage, so instead of fixed tiers you pick how much storage you want and the monthly figure appears in-app at checkout. The public pricing page shows the free plan and the Unlimited plan but leaves the number blank until you choose a size. The practical effect is that you cannot compare Adilo cleanly against a flat-priced host from the outside; sign up free and read your number in the dashboard.
Should I buy an Adilo lifetime deal?
Be cautious. Adilo sold thousands of lifetime deals through AppSumo and later said it could not honour them, restricting those accounts and moving customers onto paid subscriptions. There are also reports of charges after cancellation. Given that history, the low-regret approach is to avoid lifetime or heavily discounted annual prepayments, bill monthly, cancel in writing, and keep the confirmation.
What costs extra on top of the plan?
Two things are optional paid add-ons rather than plan features: Unified Video Security, which is the multi-DRM encryption, dynamic watermarking, IP and geo licensing and viewer authentication a course seller buys to stop piracy; and simulated livestreaming, for running evergreen simulated live events. If you need encryption, budget the add-on on top of the Unlimited plan, not the base figure.
